A.I. Services

At Running B we understand that your idea of the perfect breeding pair and your dogs idea of the perfect mate are not always the same. We have started offering A.I. (Artificial Insemination) services. We have a Registered Veterinary Technician, Christi Butler who oversee's all of our special reproduction needs. She is fantastic with the dogs and as you can see below has a great success rate. If you are interested in our A.I. services please contact us.

There are a few rules we require before we will A.I. your dog:

1. Your dog(s) must be current on all vaccines including a 7-way, Bordetella, & Rabies.

2. Your dog(s) must be current on heartworm prevention or you must provide a negative heartworm test taken within the past 14 days with the intention of beginning heartworn prevention immediatly.

3. Your female must be 7 years old or younger and have produced no more than 4 litters in her lifetime.

4. You must not have an interest in selling your puppies to pet stores or brokers.

5. You must be able to produce a sound reason for breeding and an understanding of the breed and of the responsibility associated with breeding and raising puppies.

A.I. Procecess/Cost

1. We recommend your female be A.I.ed 3 times.

2. Under normal circumstances we ask you bring your dog(s) to our facility, however we understand there are reasons for us to travel to you when it is necessary for a successful breeding.

3. The cost for A.I. is $150 per insemination, unless inseminating 3 times, then $100 per insemination. If we have to travel, their will be an additional charge according to mileage. If we board your dog(s) the cost is $10/daily per dog if you provide their food and $12/daily per dog if we provide their food. All boarding fee's are in addition to your A.I. fees. We can have progesterone testing, cytologies, and sperm counts performed at additional cost if necessary.
